Country Autism Network (CAN) was established by Hollie Hughes, a mother of three children, one of whom has an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

After receiving the diagnosis, it became apparent to Hollie that unlike many other disabilities, families of ASD children were very much left to their own devices to try and navigate the maze of therapy options and expert advice.

Making the task all the more difficult was that many rural areas don’t have any service providers locally, and services offered through Government bodies tended to be based on postcode rather than need.

In establishing the CAN, Hollie is helping families find their way to real best practice therapies, as qualified by the Federal Government’s own guidelines, and assist in the funding of these programs.
